No. Pelagic is built for scuba divers, freedivers, snorkellers and spearfishers (spearos). Dive visibility forecasts, 3D dive maps, rip hazard warnings and live conditions help anyone who goes in the water plan a better day.
Is there a dive map of Australian dive sites?
Yes. Pelagic shows you the exact entry points of hundreds of dive sites, surveyed and mapped by hand by us. Interactive 3D dive maps are built from the real seafloor, with the best route through the reef drawn on, for dive sites across New South Wales, Queensland and Tasmania.
Is there a dive visibility forecast for Sydney?

Is there a swell and tide forecast for diving?
Yes. Pelagic includes swell and tide forecasts for each dive site, alongside the dive visibility forecast, up to a week ahead. We even tell you exactly when to get into the water depending on a number of important variables for each site.
Does Pelagic warn about rip currents?
Yes. Pelagic gives live rip current hazard warnings for dive sites where rips are a risk, along with site safety warnings.

Why is Pelagic invite-only?
Because our prediction models, maps and data are original, and we protect them. Every site is surveyed and mapped by hand, at real cost. Open access gets scraped by others and AI without permission, so we don’t offer it. Invite-only keeps Pelagic a community of genuine divers, funded by members who back an independent, hand-mapped dive site project that keeps growing.
